I have a contract-to-hire (C2H) offer for a Node.js + TypeScript backend role. My current experience is 3.5 years, primarily as a backend-heavy fullstack developer, working with Node.js, Redis, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, on system design, scalable APIs, and event-driven architectures. I am concerned about the slower pace and limited ownership due to it being an MNC. The offer is C2H with no guaranteed conversion, so stability is a factor. My long-term goal is to break into top-tier product companies like Uber and Stripe, and I want to optimize for hardcore backend exposure, clean system design practices, ownership, impact, and working with strong engineers.
