My education is from a Tier 2 institution. I received the offer in July, 2025. The offer includes a signing bonus of 2.5 lakhs and an annual bonus of 1.5 LPA. I got a referral from an employee at Mastercard. This position is for Pune location, and I need to relocate there.

I received an offer for Software Engineer 2 (L4) role. The base salary component is 49.7 LPA, which includes PF. I was offered a performance bonus of 7.5 LPA (assuming 100% payout). The stock component is 18.29 LPA (82k USD / 4 years). The total compensation for Year 1 is 75.49 LPA.

On 29th August, I completed three interview rounds with Microsoft, covering DSA, LLD, and behavioral aspects. Today, I received a document verification request, asking for my pay slip, RSUs, and other details. I am seeking clarification on whether this indicates an offer and the expected timeline for document verification and the offer letter. I am also asking for advice on what compensation to expect.

My yearly compensation is JPY 9 million, which translates to 53.75 LPA INR. I will receive a relocation package of 900K JPY, which is approximately 5.3L JPY. My total compensation is 59.13 LPA for the first year, and 53.75 LPA second year onwards. I would be required to move near Tokyo, where the living cost is 3-4x compared to Bengaluru. Moving to Japan offers better living standards and a change of way of life. PayPay gives 4-10% raises to employees and offers incentives for those rated in the top 90% among the team. The bottom 10% may get reduced pay or be asked to leave (similar to URA/PiP at Amazon). From Glassdoor, it appears work at PayPay may be competitive.
