I have received an offer from a really great ERP company in Hyderabad which aligns with my 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in the DevOps domain. I am feeling stuck whether to accept or reject this offer, as my current role is in my hometown and this would require relocation. Base Salary: 27 LPA Performance Bonus: 2.7 LPA Relocation + Signing Bonus (one-time): ~4.5 Lakhs Stocks: 10,000 USD per year (~8.3 LPA)

My current company is a startup, and my current compensation is 19 LPA fixed. The offer from Toast is for the role of SE-2. The fixed component of the offer is 26 LPA. I am being offered a joining bonus of 1 Lakh. The offer includes 15000 USD in stocks, to be vested equally over 4 years. My total compensation for the 1st year is approximately 29 LPA. I am questioning if this salary is on the lower end for an SDE-2 role, considering my experience level. I am also considering if this salary hike is worth switching companies or if I should look for better offers. My current company is willing to match the compensation, but I am concerned about their financial stability and potential layoffs. I am prioritizing brand over a significant hike and want to know if Toast is a good brand.

I finished all the interview rounds and received the offer. I am a 5 Years of Experience backend heavy full stack engineer. The company is remote-first. Round 2 - Hiring Manager (European Guy) : Discussed my past experience, specifically distributed systems. Database concepts, optimization techniques like indexing, data structure behind it, how DB manages it. Also discussed distributed transactions. Overall it was a good and fun discussion. The recruiter confirmed the final result in 2 days. The whole process took almost 1 month from initial screening to the final offer letter. Though it had only 2 rounds, they were scheduled with 10-day gaps because of availability. The recruiter was friendly and responsive.

I answered scenario-based questions on real-world issues like service failures and scalability. Managerial Half: We discussed my current project, roles, responsibilities, features I delivered, and story points assigned in my last sprint. The focus was on accountability, communication, and ownership. Round 4: HR Discussion (Approx. 30 Minutes) This was a calm discussion covering salary expectations, family background, and preferred work mode. We also talked about benefits and allowances, including joining bonus, relocation allowance, and temporary stay/accommodation support.

In September 2025, I cracked an offer. The offer was for ₹19 LPA CTC (₹17 base) at a Bangalore-based B2B SaaS startup.

Offer from Juspay My role offered is SDE-1 (Backend). The company is product-based, offering better learning opportunities. My base salary offer is 20 LPA. Additional benefits include free food and insurance. I attempted to negotiate, but HR confirmed this is the maximum offer for the SDE-1 role. I am inclined towards this backend role to broaden my skills and achieve better long-term career growth. I am currently very confused and seeking suggestions on whether I should accept this offer, stay in my current company, or wait for a better offer from another company.
