I received a verbal offer for an SMTS role at Oracle Health. The total compensation offered is around 55 LPA (base + RSUs), which they stated is their maximum budget. The role is remote. I will be working with Java / Spring Boot for a new team, which seems like an interesting tech stack and project. I am considering whether to accept this offer or wait for a better opportunity (targeting around ₹60L+ CTC), as Oracle is known for no annual hikes. My current company's work-life balance is poor, making it difficult to prepare for interviews, and I currently have no other interviews in the pipeline.

Exposure to large-scale distributed systems and complex architecture. Easier to switch from MNC → startup later, but not the other way around. Slower learning curve compared to a startup; work might be repetitive. Less ownership and direct visibility due to multiple levels of hierarchy. More people to interact with — good exposure to corporate culture and management practices. Continuation in the e-commerce space; could build a strong career pattern there.

RSUs are 500 units, vested over 4 years equitably. The company has not yet gone IPO, and the RSUs are considered paper stocks without a viable cash-out option, hence not included in the total offer calculation.
