The interviewer also discussed my recent AI Hackathon participation. 3rd Round - Managerial Round: Along with the manager, there was another interviewer. We discussed my projects, role, High-Level Design of Netflix, and the importance of scalability. It was a general discussion about the role. I cleared all rounds. The HR round followed on the same day, discussing my salary expectations. I received the offer after 2 days.

I had a virtual onsite interview experience for an intern role at Stripe. The interview consisted of three levels of coding challenges: Level 1: This stage involved computing the total price based on an order object and a country-specific flat shipping table. I needed to calculate the total price based on each item’s unit price and quantity. This level mainly tested JSON parsing and basic loop logic. Level 2: Starting from this stage, shipping was no longer a fixed price but dynamically varying with “incremental cost.” Each product could have multiple cost brackets. I had to determine which bracket the current quantity fell into, then multiply the corresponding unit price by the quantity and sum it up. The tricky parts were keeping the logic clear and handling edge cases correctly, such as `maxQuantity = null` for “no upper bound.” This level was clearly the logical core and the most nerve-racking part. Level 3: On top of Level 2, this stage introduced a type concept with two calculation modes: fixed and incremental. Incremental was the same as in the previous level, while fixed meant that within a certain quantity bracket, the total price was fixed and did not increase with the quantity. Offer: I received an offer for an SDE 2 role at Rippling. Compensation Details: The base salary is 61 LPA. I was also offered a bonus of 7.5 LPA and 12,500 USD in equity spread over 4 years. My first year compensation is estimated to be between 72-73 LPA. Interview Experience: I went through multiple rounds including an Easy LLD question on a delivery tracking system (TPS Round), a behavioral HM round, a coding round on playlist tracking, a challenging system design round for a temporary email service, and another LLD-style coding round related to movie booking. For the first year, the RSU component is 40% of $80k, which is $32k (approximately 26.56 LPA assuming 1 USD = 83 INR). My total compensation for the first year is 54.6 LPA (base) + 26.56 LPA (RSUs) = 81.16 LPA. I am concerned about the significant drop in RSU vesting after the first year. The recruiter mentioned refreshers are about 30-40% of the initial grant, vested over 4 years (25% each year), but I am unsure about the hikes for cash and stocks.
