Recruiter found my profile on Naukri, mailed me, and scheduled the interviews after my profile got shortlisted. **Round 1 – Coding:** I was asked a coding question related to Merge Intervals: finding a common time interval when all celebrities can meet. This tested my skills in interval merging logic, sorting and boundary handling, and time/space complexity discussion. I completed the solution and discussed optimizations. **Round 2 – LLD Round:** I was tasked with designing an Online Parking Lot System, covering core functionalities like searching available parking slots and booking/reserving a slot. I covered class design, relationships, and flow diagrams, though the interviewer expected a more refined approach for the search functionality. I received an update 2 days later that they decided not to move forward for this role. Overall, it was a short and structured process, mainly testing problem-solving and object-oriented design depth.

I applied via referral. My current employer is a small size overseas organization. The offered compensation includes 32L Base, 4.8L Variable, and $48k RSU (vested over 4 years equally), plus benefits. The role requires a hybrid work model (2 days from office in Bangalore). The company is remote-first, but my manager is insisting on 2 days from the office. I applied for the Junior Data Engineer Intern position at BlueCopa via LinkedIn. The hiring process consisted of three rounds: Resume Shortlisting, Online Assessment, and Technical Interview. Online Assessment: 1 hour 30 minutes duration, covered Python, SQL, simple math/aptitude, English grammar, and memory-based tasks. I completed it in about 70 minutes. Technical Interview: Scheduled for 30 minutes but lasted almost 2 hours. Technical Interview Topics: OOPs concepts: four pillars, overriding vs overloading, abstract classes, interfaces, and their differences. SQL questions: GROUP BY, different types of JOINs, difference between HAVING and WHERE, Indexing, Normalization, and practical SQL operations on a given table. DSA questions: Longest Consecutive Sequence, Reverse Words in a String, Valid Anagram, and a variation of “Move Zeroes to End”. Project & Miscellaneous questions: discussions about my projects (where I admitted to exaggerating some details for ATS score) and a few Java-related questions (JDK vs JRE, another OOPs question I couldn't answer).

I interviewed with Vymo in September–October 2025. The interview process included an Online Assessment, Machine Coding, LLD + HLD, Managerial, and Hiring Manager rounds. I received positive feedback after each round and was verbally confirmed for selection. The HR initially discussed an offer of 15–16 LPA. After multiple follow-ups, the HR stated that due to budget changes, the final offer would be 9 + 1 LPA. I expressed disappointment regarding the lack of transparency and the change in the offer after a prolonged process.

I received an interview opportunity for an SDE intern (AI/LLM) role at Groww through an employee referral. The interview process consisted of two technical rounds conducted on the same day. Round 1 (DSA): This round focused on core data structures and algorithms, where I was given two LeetCode easy–medium problems: Single Element in an Array and Container With Most Water. I started with brute-force solutions and then walked through optimized approaches, followed by a brief discussion on my projects. Round 2 (DSA + AI): The first half involved a deep discussion around my AI/GenAI projects and understanding of LLMs. In the second half, I was given a design-style problem to form pairs (3 girls and 2 boys) based on certain priorities, for which I had to write pseudocode and explain my reasoning. An HR round was planned, but it did not happen as I was informed that the feedback was not positive, meaning I did not move forward in the process. My final thoughts are that it was a great learning experience, and my knowledge in AI/ML might not have been strong enough, which likely affected the feedback. The compensation mentioned for this role includes a stipend of 61k per month (7.32 LPA) and a potential full-time CTC of 20-24 LPA upon conversion.

I had an Online Assessment with two medium-hard DP problems; I solved one completely and one partially. The Screening Round consisted mostly of behavioural questions and discussions about my past experience. The DSA Round involved a LeetCode Medium-level problem related to string subsequences. In the Design Round, I designed a Reservation System, including class structure, flow, and deep discussions on design choices. The Hiring Manager Round was mostly behavioural, focusing on why I wanted to switch within 2 months of my previous move and discussing trade-offs between NoSQL and RDBMS for a given scenario. The offer felt like a lowball, as the base was calculated using my first company’s compensation and included only a 30% hike on that. The total compensation (TC), after factoring in stock components, ended up being less than my first company’s package.

The stock component is 40,000 USD vested over 4 years, which annually translates to approximately 8.3 LPA (assuming 1 USD = 83 INR). There is an additional annual bonus ranging from 0-20% of the base salary, which I've estimated at 2.8 LPA (10% of base). I tried negotiating for an L62 level, but it was refused despite good interview rounds. The role is within the Microsoft Azure Storage team. I feel this offer might be a lowball.
