Currently at JPMC, should I switch after getting promotion? Hi Everyone, I would need suggestions for my career trajectory. Currently I have been at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. for 2.5+ years. At the end of the year, I might get promoted from 502 (Analyst / SEP) position to 601 (Associate) position. My current package looks like: - Total Compensation: 15,75,000 /- (In-Hand should be around 1.06 Lakhs / Monthly) - Year-End Bonus: 4,00,000+ (Guess work, Since last year I got 3,85,000, so expecting more, I should get this amount in Feb 2025) - CEO's Bonus: $850 ~ Rs. 65,000 (would get this amount in Feb 2025) After the promotion I'm assuming 20% increment and my package might look like : - Total Compensation: 19,00,000 /- (In-Hand is around 1.25 Lakhs / Monthly) - Year-End Bonus: 5,00,000+(again guess work, note, I would get this amount in Feb 2026 if I continue) - CEO's Bonus: $850 ~ Rs. 68,000 (would get this amount in Feb 2026) I'm planning to switch job after I get my promotion. I should be having 3+ years of experience along with a package of 22~23 Lakhs. I'm assuming if I switch, I should get at-least 20% hike. Which should take the package to 27 Lakhs at least. Should I make the switch? If so, which companies should I target for? What is the ideal salary range for someone with 3+ years of expereince as a SDE? Would appreciate any kind of advice on this. Thanks!
