I have 6.8 years of experience. My current CTC at Oracle is 18 LPA + 25 LPA (RSU for next 3 years). Walmart has offered me the following compensation: Base Salary: 27 LPA PF + Retirals: 1.8 LPA Bonus: 5.3 LPA RSU: 6.75 LPA (vested over 3 years) I feel the compensation offered is very low. I am having doubts about accepting the offer, despite considering the current market situation for changing jobs.

I applied for the SDE role as a fresher. Here's my interview experience and the offer details: **CTC Breakup:** Total CTC: 36.5 LPA, Fixed: 26 LPA, Variable: 3.5-7L, Sign-On Bonus: 1L, Anniversary Bonus: 1L, Relocation: 1.5L. **Online Assessment 1:** This was a difficult round with 3 DSA questions (Connected components of graph, Bit Manipulation, DP problem) for 120 minutes. **Online Assessment 2:** This unique round had one coding question (Dynamic Programming - weighted job scheduling with Binary Search) and a 45-min system design round. I was asked to design the backend system for a threading feature in a chat app like Slack, covering non-functional features, data model, relationships, and APIs. **Technical Round:** This round (70-80 min) was entirely based on OA2. I was asked about my DSA approach, alternatives, thinking process, and edge cases. For system design, I explained the feature flow, non-functional aspects, drew the ER model, and was asked to optimize features and write API calls. I was rejected after this round. **My Learnings:** My DSA explanation went well, explaining from bruteforce to DP optimization. I felt my system design lacked, particularly when asked about alternative methods for database durability and during the ER model design. I also made a small error in API call optimization. The post also mentioned potential Managerial and HR rounds for future candidates.

I received an offer for an L3 lead engineer role at Freshworks. My base salary is 50 LPA. The offer includes RSUs worth $28k over 4 years, which is approximately 5.81 LPA annually (assuming 1 USD = 83 INR). I have 6 years of experience.

I received an offer for the ML Scientist III role from Expedia. My experience is 3+ years in Data Science / ML Engineering. My education is B.Tech from IIT (non-circuital branch). The total fixed component (with PF & Gratuity) is approximately 47 LPA. I will receive a joining bonus of 5 LPA after 1 month and 4 LPA after the 13th month. RSUs are around 24K USD. Every year, the refresher is around 10K for this role, but it can be zero. The 1-year CTC (including 1-year joining bonus) is around 61 LPA, along with other Expedia benefits. I received an offer from Microsoft for the L63 role in Hyderabad, India. My education background is CSE from a Tier-1 institution. I have 7.5+ years of experience, previously working as a Senior Engineer with a CTC of Rs. 38 LPA fixed + 37L Stock. The base salary offered is Rs. 50,00,000/- (50 LPA). The offer includes a stock bonus of USD 100,000 vesting over 4 years. A performance bonus of up to 30% (15L), with an average of 7L, is part of the compensation package. A sign-on bonus of 5,00,000 (5L in the first year and 3L in the second year) is also included. The total compensation is explicitly stated as 85 LPA. I currently do not have any other job offers.

I applied directly on the portal and a recruiter reached out with the Online Assessment. Online Assessment: I don't remember the exact questions, but they were on difference arrays and a hard question on heaps. I solved both questions and got the interview invite. Round 1 (DSA): There were 3 DSA questions. Question 1 involved finding the longest safest path in a string with lowercase letters and hashes, with a follow-up allowing one hash to be safe. Question 2 was on string matching and two pointers. I solved all 3 questions. Round 2 (LLD): I designed the Low-level design of a Cache using OOD principles, SOLID principles, and a strategy pattern for eviction policy. I coded for LRU Eviction policy and ran the complete code, impressing the interviewer with my code quality. Round 3 (AA): This round was taken by a very senior engineering manager and was entirely behavioural. I was asked questions on my project, hackathon experiences, and standard behavioural questions that could be answered using the STAR technique. I received a call from the recruiter on the same day confirming my selection and an offer.

I received an offer from OCI for an IC3 level position. My current role is Amazon L5 in Hyderabad, with 5 years of experience. The OCI offer includes a base salary of 42 LPA and a total compensation of 72 LPA for the first year. The role is Remote/Hybrid, requiring 1-2 days per week in the office. It is within an internal product team. I am concerned about this being a lateral move and its potential impact on my career growth after Amazon L5. My plan is to work for a year, receive the first-year stock vest, and then apply for Senior positions in other big tech companies in 2027, leveraging my 5+ YOE. My concerns include potential layoffs/PIP before stock vest, difficulty securing future Senior SDE interviews due to being from Oracle instead of a MAANG company, low/no refreshers/hikes (based on Oracle's reputation), uninteresting work, poor work-life balance, and a toxic team culture.

I have 1.6 years of experience as a Backend Engineer (Node). I received an offer for an SDE1 role from a service-based company in Mumbai. The fixed salary component is 11 LPA. My current CTC is 5.4 LPA, and my expectation was around 12-14 LPA. The initial offer was 9.5 LPA fixed + 1 LPA bonus, which was negotiated to 11 LPA fixed. There is no joining or relocation bonus included. The notice period is 2 months.

I went through an interview loop with Hashicorp. My role offer is SDE, Band-06. My base salary offer is 23 LPA with a variable component of 3 LPA. I was offered a joining bonus of 10 LPA spread across 2 years, with a clawback period of 1 year for each half. There are no RSUs with this offer, which was a deal-breaker for me. I understood that there is no real chance of RSUs within the next two years.

I was waitlisted for this on-campus opportunity at NIT Warangal, coming from a Mechanical Branch background. Round 1: Included two puzzles (10 coins Heads/Tails, equilateral triangles with 6 match sticks), two SQL questions (joining tables, Nth highest salary, converting percentages to grades), one coding question (validating DDMMYYYY date format), DBMS questions (ACID properties, Normalization), discussion on internship experience and project, and OOPs concepts (four pillars and use case). Round 2: Consisted of four DSA questions: finding a subarray with min. size 'm' and sum 'k' with a DP follow-up, finding the second min. sum in a Binary Tree, a word problem suggesting Dijkstra's/Bellman Ford, and finding leaf nodes leading to the root in a binary tree with a mirror placed at the bottom (tree into graph). Round 3 (HR): Questions covered reasons for switching to IT from a mechanical branch, minor degree, LinkedIn internship experience and project discussion (alternative approaches, confidence testing), OOPs SOLID principles, understanding Oracle's work and role fit, managing core studies with technical skills, and candidate's questions.

I received an offer from ServiceChannel. I will be part of the founding India engineering team, potentially working on an existing product. My fixed compensation is 21 LPA.

I went through an interview loop with NetGear. The recruiter reached out to me over LinkedIn. The process was a "drive" with multiple rounds conducted within their office, all in one day. I had multiple face-to-face interviews with almost no DSA (I don't remember if there was an OA round before this). Discussions were purely technical, focusing on my side-projects and what I have been doing at work so far, including deep-dives. I declined the offer as I had a better one at hand, especially concerning RSUs. Overall, I enjoyed the interview process much more at NetGear.

I received an offer from Navi for the SDE-1 role. Base salary: 27 LPA Joining bonus: 2 LPA ESOPs: 5.4 LPA (vesting over 4 years, equivalent to 1.35 LPA annually) Navi initially tried to lowball but increased the offer due to a competing offer from Leadsquared. Benefits are superb, including free food all 7 days, 4 times a day, with very good options. The work culture is positive, and I believe there are good learning opportunities.
