I recently interviewed for an L62 position at Microsoft but was offered an L61 role. My current Years of Experience (YOE) is 3.5. The base salary offered is 32 Lakhs Per Annum (LPA). The total compensation for the first year is 59.2 LPA. This offer comprises a base of 32 LPA, variable pay of 3.2 LPA, a joining bonus of 6 LPA, and stocks worth 80k USD (equivalent to 72 LPA vested over 4 years, so 18 LPA for the first year). I am aiming for a base pay of 35 LPA and am considering if I should push for a higher offer, as I currently have no other offers in hand.

I received an offer from FNZ (on-campus). My role is for Intern + FTE. After the internship, my full-time offer is INR 17 Lakhs (all base). I am asking if FNZ offers any stocks or bonuses after joining.

I received an SDE2 offer from Amazon. Base Salary: 45 LPA Sign-on Bonus: 17 LPA (Year 1) + 13 LPA (Year 2) Stock Grant: 197 units vesting over 4 years (5% + 15% + 40% + 40%) I feel I was lowballed in stocks. Note: The total offer calculation includes only base and year 1 sign-on bonus, as the monetary value of stock units was not provided.

Interview Experience: I had 6 rounds focusing heavily on Distributed Systems, Cloud Architecture (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and DevOps/SRE principles. They looked for "Architect" level thinking even for a Senior role, with heavy emphasis on system design and incident management. Negotiation Strategy: This was a tough negotiation. They initially offered a standard hike. I realized Roku is "Cash Heavy, Equity Light," so instead of fighting for more stocks (which are capped), I pushed aggressively on the Fixed Base. I managed to get a ~87% hike on Fixed Base (from ₹45L → ₹84L), which is rare for 8 YOE but possible if I proved I could handle "Staff" level responsibilities. Verdict: Accepted! I am excited to join the streaming giant.

I hold a B.Tech degree from IIT. My prior experience includes an internship at Strand Life Sciences. The offer date was 2023. I received no relocation or signing bonus. I received no stock bonus. I received no additional bonus. Benefits include initial flight and stay, and complete remote work is available based on the project.

I have been offered an L2 Position at Twilio. The job is remote. Refreshers are provided. Performance Bonus: 10% of Base (2.95 LPA). RSUs: 30K USD, vested over 4 years, quarterly vesting. My Years of Experience (YOE) are 2.5.

I have been offered an Associate/Engineer (AVP) position at Deutsche Bank, Pune . My Years of Experience (YOE) are 5+ (Java Backend, Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes). The role type is Hybrid, located in Pune. The offer includes a Fixed Base of 27 LPA. The total CTC offered is 28 LPA, which includes PF, Gratuity, Insurance, and Internet Allowance. There is no joining bonus. A discretionary variable may be given but is not guaranteed. My notice period is 90 days, and despite being an immediate joiner, the joining date is in January.

My current compensation is 24 LPA fixed + 2 LPA variable with 4+ years of experience. I received an L61 offer from Microsoft in Hyderabad. The offer details are: base 29 Lacs (includes PF), 60K USD stocks (25% vesting over 4 years), 3 Lacs joining bonus (for 1st year), and 10-20% variable pay. My estimated total 1st year CTC is 47-48 Lacs. I had a better interview for the Noida location, but the Hyderabad HR reportedly stopped that process. The Hyderabad HR is allegedly blackmailing me, stating that if I reject this offer, I won't be able to appear for Microsoft interviews for the next 6 months. I feel lowballed and find it challenging to secure interviews at big MNCs. The HR is asking me to resign to start BGV. I am seeking advice on the HR's claims and if accepting this offer would prevent me from reappearing for Microsoft interviews later.

I am glad to have switched away from Nutanix to an early-stage startup. My compensation at Nutanix as an MTS-3 with 5 years of experience was: Base: 40 LPA, Bonus: 0, Stocks: 0. Stocks were denied to me as only SMTS+ roles receive them. I found that engineering work was minimal, focusing on cumbersome administrative tasks. I felt professional growth was limited due to the nature of the work, making it challenging to switch roles. My suggestion is to only consider Nutanix if it's your only option and to continuously seek other opportunities.

I possess 7+ years of experience, specializing in Java, Spring Boot, React, Golang, Rust, and Python. I started my last job in September 2025 (very recently) and am urgently seeking a permanent remote role due to a family situation. I am requesting referrals for this company.
