Summary

I cleared the Salesforce Intern AMTS interview and received an offer after two rounds.

Full Experience

First round was mainly a dsa question, leetcode 2008 , the only difference was that instead of giving direct profit they said: If I pick a customer i, I will earn end[i] - start[i] + tip[i]. (So there were 3 different arrays). I thought it for a lot of time as we have 2 things to maximize and also avoid overlapping (the interviewer was not giving any hints) I was not able to solve it completely but was very close. The interviewer appreciated my approach and told me that I was going in the right direction. Then a little discussion about projects, asked me about design patterns if I have used any.

Only 3/8 people advanced into the next round. Second round was full on projects, she delved deep into api calls that how many calls I made and why. Another question was: tradeoffs for working individually and in team. And another was any activity which u do apart from study which helped you in real life also. I was giving answers which were right but she was not looking convinced.

After the 2nd round, I cried a lot because I thought, I would be rejected, but that was not the case. What I learnt was that all the interviewers don't show what they are feeling, even when we are right some don't express anything, not all smile and look convinced. You have to be confident of your answers.

After giving interviews for Google and Flipkart (rejected), I finally got the offer. (All 3 were selected).

Maximum Earnings from Taxi (with custom profit formula)

Data Structures & Algorithms·Medium

Given three arrays start[], end[], and tip[] for n customers, you can select a subset of customers such that no selected intervals overlap. If you pick customer i, the earnings are calculated as end[i] - start[i] + tip[i]. Find the maximum total earnings achievable.

Constraints: intervals must be non‑overlapping.

Goal: Return the maximum possible sum of earnings.
