Summary

I attended an Amazon SDE II onsite interview in Bangalore where I was asked two coding problems (Course Schedule II and a variation of the Climbing Stairs problem) but struggled to code on the spot and was unable to solve the final Aggressive Cows‑like question, resulting in an unsuccessful outcome.

How it went

R1 45mins

  1. Course Schedule II
  2. Variation of Climbing Stairs question

Applied on Carrer poral, got interview onsite (bangalore Bagmane office),

interviewee asked if you want to code on pen paper or laptop

solved 2nd but, knew how to solve 1st but could,nt code onspot

Please revise graphs before going on Amazon interview

also this is the 2nd amazon inteview I have given in within 2month both different teams

before that it was virtaul and around 4-5 questions were asked it was also 45mins but interviee said don't need to code it just tell the approach verbally, all the questions were medium (sliding window problems, and linked list etc)

he was just asking question, then the optimization then moving to the next question, no hints nothing

the last question I remember it was similar to Aggressive Cows, I could'nt tell how to solve it so the interview endded there (I guess it was screening interview, not sure)

I guess Amazon is hiring aggresivly
