Summary

I completed the online assessment and three interview rounds for a Morgan Stanley internship and was selected.

Full Experience

OA Pattern [Platform- SHL]:

  1. Debugging Section -7 question (3/7)
  2. Aptitude section (was not able to complete)
  3. Coding Section (a) Problem based on XOR operation + array traversal (15/15 test cases passed) (b) 3d knapsack problem (22/22 test cases passed)

Got selected for interview!!

3 round of interview:

  1. Technical Round - General introdunction + RAG architecture explanation used in project with follow up questions + dsa question (vec=['a','b','c','d','e'] given generate all possible string made with these characters with length>=3 solved by concept of recursion and backtracking)

  2. Behavioral Round - general introduction + discussion on hackathons I participated (SIH) and how the solution solves real life problem + why cg lower than other candidates + is use of ai in fintech company reliable.

  3. HR round - general introduction + description of projects listed in resume + asked about any interest in post-graduation + asked about any problem in relocation.

Final Verdict - Selected (6/12 selected)

Interview Questions (3)

1.

XOR Array Traversal

Data Structures & Algorithms

Problem based on XOR operation combined with array traversal. The solution passed all 15 test cases in the coding section of the online assessment.

2.

3D Knapsack Problem

Data Structures & Algorithms

A 3‑dimensional knapsack problem was presented in the coding section of the online assessment. The solution passed all 22 test cases.

3.

Generate Strings of Length ≥3 from Given Characters

Data Structures & Algorithms

Given a vector ['a','b','c','d','e'], generate all possible strings formed with these characters where the string length is at least 3. I solved this using recursion and backtracking during the technical interview round.
