Summary
I attended a walk‑in drive for a Backend Developer role at Cars24 in Gurugram. I was rejected after the first round, which included DSA and design questions.
How it went
HR posted a walk‑in drive on LinkedIn, I applied from there, got the confirmation mail 5 days before the scheduled date. It was for 2‑5 YOE employees, for positions SDE1‑SDE3.
About 100 candidates came there, there were scheduled total 3 rounds. Interview questions depended on your interviewer, as there were multiple interview panels, so they were asking DSA, or LLD, or HLD, or questions and deep dives from your resume points.
I got questions from my resume, then moved to how will you protect concurrent retrievals from the database with low latency, then he asked me a DSA question similar to Interleaving Strings (Leetcode 97).
I was rejected from Round 1. For some candidates they asked only DSA in 1st round, then Design in next round, it totally depends on your interviewer.
Overall experience was very good, interviewers were supportive, HR was also good, and there was a positive environment, they provided us snacks and lunch as well.
