Tekion | SDE 2 Interview Experience | June 2026 | Selected
Summary
I cleared all four interview rounds (DSA, LLD, HLD, Manager) for an SDE 2 role at Tekion and received an offer, but I rejected it because the compensation for the Chennai location was lower than expected.

Round 1 - DSA round
First problem - largest area of histogram
2nd problem - next greatest element
You are expected to write working solution. I was able to write solution for 1 problem and almost reached to the solution for the histogram one.
Round 2 - LLD Round
Design your own library of a TTL based caching system. I had to write actual code. Running code was not expected but clear classes, design patterns were expected. This was the toughtest round.
Round 3 - HLD Round
HLD of a food delivery platform like swiggy. Some cross questions were asked for edge cases like what if someone orders and resturant closes, payment related edge cases.
Round 4 - Manager round
This round lasted only 30 min. First questions were asked for past projects. Then some behavorial questions like why tekion, what do you bring, how you opearate, how many member in team etc.

Interview Questions (4)
Largest Rectangle in Histogram
Given an array of bar heights representing a histogram, find the area of the largest rectangle that can be formed within the bounds of the histogram.
Next Greater Element
Given an array of integers, for each element find the next greater element to its right. If no such element exists, return -1 for that position.
Design TTL Based Caching System
Design a library for a caching system where each entry has a time‑to‑live (TTL) value. The design should include classes, interfaces, and appropriate design patterns to manage insertion, retrieval, expiration, and eviction of cached items.
Design Food Delivery Platform
Design the high‑level architecture for a food delivery platform similar to Swiggy. Consider components such as user service, restaurant service, order management, payment processing, and handling edge cases like restaurant closure after an order is placed.
