Summary

I interviewed for an SDE2 onsite at Noon and was rejected after the screening DSA round.

How it went

Role : SDE2

Screening - DSA round

Question 1 : How would you ensure that two or more changes that must happen together actually do happen together, even when failures occur? For example, a service needs to update its own database and call another microservice’s API as part of the same operation. If one succeeds and the other fails (crash, timeout, network issue), the system ends up inconsistent. How would you design this so both changes either complete or are properly handled/rolled back?

Question 2 : Longest non decreasing subarray problem + variant - what if we are allowed to change one value of a number in the array

Verdict : Reject
