Interview Questions (8)

1.

Roman to Integer

Data Structures & Algorithms·Easy

Convert a Roman numeral string to its integer representation. The input is a valid Roman numeral and the output should be the corresponding integer.

2.

Remove Duplicates from Sorted Array

Data Structures & Algorithms·Easy

Given a sorted integer array, remove the duplicates in-place such that each element appears only once and return the new length. The relative order of the elements should be maintained.

3.

When and where to use a distributed lock

System Design

Explain where a distributed lock works and when it should be avoided.

Leader election in practice

System Design

Describe how leader election works in practice and what problem it solves.

5.

Outbox Pattern

System Design

Explain what the outbox pattern is and how it ensures reliable event publishing.

6.

Backpressure in distributed systems

System Design

Define backpressure in a distributed system and discuss how to implement it end‑to‑end.

System Design

Discuss how to maintain consistency when there is a network partition between two services in a distributed system.

8.

Design a Parcel Delivery System

System Design
