Summary

I experienced the Juspay SDE Intern on-campus hiring process, which included multiple online assessments, hackathons, and interviews covering DSA, system design, and core React fundamentals. Despite not being selected, it was a valuable learning experience.

Full Experience

Online Assessment 1: Consist 3 dsa question....easy,medium,hard..
Was able 2 solve first 2 question...You need to pass atleast 30 cases to qualify for next round.

Online Assessment 2: Consist 2 math, 2 physics, 6 computer fundamental questions, 6 decision based reasoning question....It was an easy round.

Hackathon part A: Consist of a hard Tree problem. Duration: 3 hours...You need to pass 7/10 cases to qualify for the next round. I solved all testcases here.

Elimination interview: First we had some introduction and some discussion about project and techstack. Then the interviewer asked a medium level tree question...My approach: First struggled a bit..but then came up with brute force approach. Then with the help of interviewer I was able to discuss the optimal approach and successfully code it up and explained time & space complexity. There was multiple cross question about my approach and decision. It was around 1.5 hours interview..The interviewer was friendly and helped me alot to solve the problem.

Hackathon part B: The round was conducted on slack + Google meet call.First the interviewer told me to explain my part A code and its time & space complexity. After that he told me to join video call. There was some question about backend techstack. Then he told me to optimise my approach. I derived time complexity of optimised code. After that I was asked to make the code thread safe. This round was very hectic and brainstorming as I had to implement everything from scratch. In my case this round was around 12 hours long...day 1: 11am - 9pm, day 2: 11am - 1pm....The interviewer provided a lot hint and I finally solved all problem he given and he was satisfied.

Final Systems round: There was a deep dive project discussion....I had used react in my project so the whole interview was revolving around core react fundamental..There was a system design question from my project like how I will scale a particular feature. This round was 2 hours long..I messed up a bit in some of react core fundamental question which may have impacted the final decision.

Although I was not selected for the position but overall this was a great experience which boosted my confidence alot...Looking forward for more interesting interview.

Interview Questions (2)

1.

Optimize Code and Ensure Thread Safety

Other·Hard

I was asked to explain my existing code (from Part A of the Hackathon), optimize its approach, derive the time complexity of the optimized code, and then make the code thread safe. This involved implementing everything from scratch.

2.

System Design: Scaling a Feature

System Design

There was a system design question related to my project, specifically on how I would scale a particular feature.
