The loop

Four rounds.

Round 1. Meet and greet with the hiring leader. 30 minutes with an engineering director. Behavioural: my resume, my experience, and what I wanted to work on. Self rating: Strong Hire / Hire.

Round 2. Problem solving. First half of a 90 minute session with two engineers. One LeetCode easy, sliding window. Self rating: Strong Hire / Hire.

Round 3. Test‑driven design. Second half of the same session. Low‑level design of a hash map, with the tests written before the code they test. Self rating: Strong Hire / Hire.

Round 4. Offer call. The recruiter, with the feedback and then the offer.

Happy to answer questions about the loop or the prep.

Interview Questions (1)

1.

Low‑level design of a hash map (test‑driven)

Data Structures & Algorithms

Design a hash map from scratch using a test‑driven approach. Write unit tests that define the expected behavior (e.g., put, get, remove, handling collisions, resizing) before implementing the actual code. Focus on low‑level design decisions such as bucket structure, hashing function, collision resolution strategy, load factor management, and API design.
