Coinbase | SDE3 | Remote(India)

I recently went through the interview process for a Senior SDE (SDE3) role at Coinbase, which was conducted remotely from India. The initial step was an online assessment on CodeSignal, where I tackled a medium-hard coding question split into four parts, needing to solve at least three to qualify. This was followed by a behavioral and a logical reasoning assessment, each 20 minutes and quite straightforward.

My first technical round involved another 1-hour coding problem with multiple parts on CodeSignal; I successfully solved all four parts, and my communication was also evaluated. The second technical round was quite similar, another 1-hour coding challenge, where I managed to complete three parts correctly.

Following the coding rounds, I had a 1-hour high-level system design interview. The task was to design a stock broker application capable of displaying live prices of assets. Communication was again a key aspect of the evaluation. The final stage was a 1-hour hiring manager round, where we discussed my past work experience and cultural fit with Coinbase, with an emphasis on leadership experience.
