Associate – Customer Success(Visualization CoE) at Bain Capability Network
Summary
I interviewed at Bain Capability Network for the role of Associate in Customer Success. The process included a technical round, an online assessment, and a panel interview, but I was rejected due to lack of domain expertise beyond coding.
Full Experience
So recently I interviewed at BCN for the mentioned role, and here's how it went:
- First Round: Technical Interview
Started with basic intro, and then SQL grinding, questions on types of joins, difference, and a SQL coding question on Windows Function - Second Round: OA
11 Questions, 9 MCQs (Python and SQL), 2 coding SQL Questions (moderate to hard) - Third Round: Panel Interview
It was supposed to be taken by a panel of 2 members, but only a manager took it, took over 2 hours, grinded on SQL coding questions (on paper) and some consultancy related questions
Final Verdict: REJECTED
Reason: They were looking for someone who could code in SQL and Python (near average) and could also confront client and help their marketing team to upsell their products, and clearly it wasn't my field of expertise other than to code.
Interview Questions (3)
SQL Coding Question on Window Functions
The first round involved a SQL coding question focused on window functions. Though the exact query wasn't described, this would involve using functions like ROW_NUMBER(), RANK(), or SUM() OVER() clauses to compute results based on partitioning or ordering.
Moderate to Hard SQL Coding Questions
Two moderate to hard level SQL coding questions were asked during the online assessment. These likely involved complex joins, subqueries, aggregations, or CTEs, though specific details weren't shared.
Consultancy Related Questions
During the third round, there were consultancy-related questions aimed at evaluating business understanding and ability to interact with clients and support marketing teams.
