Position: SDE 2
R1: Resume Discussion | Fit Check Engineering Manager took this round. Discussion around resume. My work experience. If I were to handle 10x traffic for the same project what changes I would make. Some DB fundamentals. IVer mentioned they have stopped giving importance to design patterns in favour of simplifying code for AI agents to work with.
R2: AI Machine Coding Round A SDE 2 took the round. A vehicle routing problem. Given partners and customer slots for a day, allocate jobs to partners inside their working hours. Develop a working solution in Node and typescript. Access to claude code was given.
As AI was working, we moved to LLD of solution.
Discussion around structure of classes, DESIGN PATTERN used, production readiness of approach.
Emphasis was if you are able to understand the code AI wrote. I was able to code a working solution.
Verdict: rejected because I did not use the required design pattern.

Vehicle Routing Allocation Problem
Given a set of partners and a set of customer time slots for a single day, allocate jobs to partners such that each job is assigned within the partner's working hours. The solution should be implemented in Node.js and TypeScript, and the code generated by an AI assistant (Claude) may be used as a starting point.
