Summary

I applied to Uber via LinkedIn and underwent multiple interview rounds for an SDE 2 Fullstack role, encountering DSA, LLD, System Design, and behavioral questions. I am currently awaiting the results of my interviews.

Full Experience

How did I apply : I had applied multiple times via referrals but never got shortlisted. Then, one fine day, the role showed up on LinkedIn. I applied directly and received an email from the recruiter to schedule the screening round.

Screening round (Elimination round)
I was asked one question from the Uber-tagged list from the last 3 months. I explained the brute-force approach first. The interviewer seemed satisfied and then asked for an optimized solution along with time and space complexity.

I gave the optimized solution but missed a few edge cases

After about 2 weeks, the recruiter reached out again to schedule my DSA and LLD rounds. The recruiter mentioned that if I cleared these rounds, the System Design and Hiring Manager (HM) rounds would be scheduled

DSA round

I was asked a variation of Course Schedule II

LLD round

I was asked to build the famous Connect Four game, which I had practiced earlier via GreatFrontend.

After this, I received an email regarding the scheduling of the System Design and HM rounds.

System Design & HM round

System design : I was asked to design a backend system to fetch trending items

HM round: I was asked basic behavioral questions such as conflicts with team members or PMs, projects I collaborated on, and projects I worked on end-to-end. I would strongly recommend preparing 4–5 stories using the STAR format.

Hope this helps someone who is currently giving interviews.
Fingers crossed now — waiting for the results!
