Summary

I went through a two-stage selection process for the SDE role at Tranzion Systems, including resume interview, technical interview, SQL and DSA assessments, and I was not selected.

Full Experience

Sharing my actual placement experience for the Tranzita Systems - Software Development Engineer (SDE) : Data engineering role.

The selection process was somewhat different from what was mentioned in the initial drive information, so I'm sharing the actual process to help candidates preparing for this company.

Company & Role

  • Company: Tranzita Systems
  • Role: Software Development Engineer (SDE)
  • Location: Lucknow Development Centre
  • CTC: ₹3.5 LPA
  • Training: 6 months paid training
  • Training Stipend: ₹10,000/month
  • Bond: 24 months, including the 6-month training period
  • Company Background: Software startup founded by IIT graduates, with its head office in Bengaluru

Actual Selection Process

The selection process consisted of two major stages.

Round 1 - Resume Shortlisting + Interview

134 students were shortlisted, including me.

It was a direct interview conducted on campus.

The questions were mainly based on:

  • Resume
  • Projects
  • Technical concepts
  • Programming knowledge

My key takeaway from this round:

Be prepared to explain everything you mention on your resume.

If you have projects or technologies listed, make sure you understand their fundamentals and can explain your contribution clearly.

Round 2 - Company Office | ~8 Hours

After the first round:

134 → 33 candidates

I was among the 33 candidates shortlisted for the next stage.

The round was conducted at the company's Lucknow office and lasted around 8 hours.

It consisted of multiple stages:

1. Technical Interview

We had an individual technical interview with the company.

The discussion focused on technical knowledge, programming and the projects mentioned on the resume.

2. SQL Assessment

We were given 10 SQL questions to solve online. 5 easy & 5 were medium to hard level

So, if you're preparing for this role, make sure you're comfortable with:

  • Joins
  • Subqueries
  • GROUP BY
  • HAVING
  • Aggregate functions
  • Window functions
  • CTEs
  • Basic query optimization

3. DSA Assessment

We were given 5 DSA questions to solve online.

those 5 questions were:

  1. prime or not
  2. print pattern ABCD in pyramid form
  3. searchinig in sorted array
  4. paranthesis check
  5. i forgot

4. Explanation of Solutions

This was one of the most important parts of the process.

After completing the SQL and DSA assessments, we had to explain our solutions to the interviewers.

We had to explain:

  • Our approach
  • Logic behind the solution
  • Why we chose that approach
  • How the solution works
  • Complexity where applicable

This showed that the evaluation wasn't only about getting the correct answer.

You should be able to explain your solution, not just write it.

Final Result

Out of the 33 candidates, only 2 candidates were selected for the SDE role at Tranzita Systems.

Unfortunately, I was not selected.

33 → 2 Selected
