Summary

I interviewed for an L63 role at Microsoft in Hyderabad, going through multiple rounds including DSA, LLD, HLD, and a senior-level discussion, but ultimately received a rejection.

Full Experience

First Round OA: both graph based questions and were medium to hard level

The next three rounds happened on a weekend. Only first two rounds were scheduled and based on the results, next round was scheduled on the same day.

SecondRound: DSA It was a simple question about functions in excel. Given a fuction expression, return the number of unique functions in it and also return number of functio +different input combos.

Third Round: DSA + LLD DSA question was also easy-medium and working code was expected. I think it was some tree based question. LLD: Design a twitter like hastag system where customers can create and subscribe to notifications and their status

Fourth Round: HLD Design a ticket booking syste This round went for one and half hour and i was drilled on every choice i made, it was a nice discussion

After a couple of days, i got the call for next round

AA Round I guess: It was with very senior guy 20+ years experience. General questions as to why leaving my current company etc and one project discussion. The next question was how would i store a big file in memory. I told an approach and we discussed more on it but i guess it didn't go well. The round lasted for 40 minutes ony and i got a rejection mail a week later.

YOE: 7+
