micro1. Software Engineer, New Grad AI (Rejected)
Summary
I completed a 30‑minute AI‑driven online assessment that covered system design concepts, full‑stack fundamentals, JavaScript details, and a single coding problem, and I was eventually rejected.
Full Experience
I just completed the OA.
It was around a 30-minute conversation with an AI interviewer. The topics covered included LLD concepts such as rate limiting and caching, as well as backend and frontend questions related to React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
There were also some JavaScript questions, including the differences between Promise.all(), Promise.any(), and Promise.allSettled().
The coding question: was essentially a variation of LeetCode's Merge Intervals problem. The wording was different, but the core problem and requirements were very similar:
LeetCode 56 - Merge Intervals: https://leetcode.com/problems/merge-intervals/description/
Overall, the assessment focused on a mix of full-stack fundamentals, system design/LLD concepts, JavaScript, and one coding problem.
Interview Questions (1)
Merge Intervals (variation)
Given a collection of intervals, merge all overlapping intervals and return an array of the non‑overlapping intervals that cover all the intervals in the input. This problem is a variation of the standard LeetCode "Merge Intervals" challenge.
