Summary

I went through three superday rounds at Goldman for an Associate SWE role, faced DSA and system design questions, but was ultimately not selected.

Full Experience

Superday Round - 1: Was asked to dsa questions - 1. staircase problem to search 2. design a datastructure that can do following operations in O(1) : put, delete, getRamdom

Superday Round 2: Short conversation on resume, 2 dsa questions, short discussion around tradeoffs of cache- 1. dungeon health (dp) 2. design lru cache

Superday Round 3: Here, there was a short discussion around my recent work at my current company then was asked to design a pastebin. the interviewer said that we will move with high level design first, so I was able to gather functional requirements, non-functional requirements, set up core entities, api design and then the final working solution.

The problem I faced here was that the interviewers were interrupting alot and were diverging alot from the functional requirements we decided earlier on.

Would say overall hiring process is easy, for HLD and LLD do some mock interviews. Rejection can happen only on a bad day if you got interviewers like mine :( otherwise you are good to go !

Verdict: not selected
