Summary

I attended the first round interview for a Java Developer position at EXL, which included Java and DSA sections, and I believe I did not pass.

Full Experience

Hi all,

I recently gave the first round of an interview at EXL for a Java Developer role. I have 7+ years of experience and am currently working at a service-based company.

The interview had two sections:

  1. Java
  2. DSA

Some of the questions asked were:

  • Use of the `intern()` method
  • Different ways to create objects in Java
  • Using `try/catch` inside `finally` - why and when
  • Whether `final` and `static` can be used with an abstract class and explain reason.
  • Explain Bubble Sort and its time complexity (first time I was asked this in an interview!)

DSA question:

  • Move Zeroes to the End

I think I flunked it.
