Summary

I recently participated in Deloitte USI's off-campus recruitment for an Analyst Trainee position. After successfully clearing the National Level Assessment and a comprehensive technical interview that covered core engineering, OOPS, DBMS, and coding, I received an offer for the role.

Full Experience

I recently had the opportunity to participate in the Deloitte USI off-campus recruitment process through their National Level Assessment (NLA) program. After applying and successfully clearing the online assessment, I was shortlisted for the technical interview round, which I’m excited to share my experience about.

Online Assessment (OA)

The NLA online assessment was quite comprehensive, comprising both aptitude and coding questions. While the aptitude questions were challenging, the coding questions were of medium difficulty. I managed to solve all the coding questions within the allotted time frame of approximately 3 hours, though I don’t recall their exact details.

A few months later, I received an email confirming that I had successfully cleared the NLA and was shortlisted for the technical interview. I appreciated the flexibility given to schedule the interview at my convenience.

The Technical Interview

On the scheduled interview day, I approached the session feeling prepared and confident. The interviewer was friendly, which helped create a relaxed atmosphere. We started with introductions, then she asked me about Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) and Database Management Systems (DBMS). Following that, she delved into my core engineering subjects, specifically focusing on Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering topics like semiconductors, diodes, PN Junction diode properties, and different logic gates such as AND, NOT, and NOR. She even asked me to write a truth table based on a given equation. I regret that I cannot recall some of the other core engineering topics discussed.

Next, the interview transitioned into coding. I was presented with three coding questions. I vividly recall solving an Anagram question, where I was asked to demonstrate all the approaches I had considered. Another question involved finding the majority element, which I successfully solved. Unfortunately, the details of the third coding question escape my memory.

After the coding segment, the interviewer shifted focus to my projects and internship experience. I explained one of my projects in detail, sharing insights and the challenges I encountered during its execution.

Outcome

I thoroughly enjoyed my interview experience at Deloitte USI. I felt confident in my responses to most questions, which I believe contributed to my positive outcome. After a few months, I received the delightful news that I had successfully cleared the round and was offered the role of Analyst Trainee at Deloitte USI. It was truly an exciting moment!

Conclusion

Participating in the Deloitte USI recruitment process through the NLA program was a rewarding experience. The technical interview allowed me to showcase my knowledge and skills across various domains, from engineering fundamentals to coding. I am excited to embark on this new journey as an Analyst Trainee and contribute to Deloitte USI’s growth and success.
