Concentric AI SDE-1 Interview Experience. Selected!!!
Summary
I cleared the Concentric AI on‑campus SDE‑1 interview process and received an offer after completing an online assessment, two technical rounds and an HR round.
Full Experience
I recently appeared for the Concentric AI SDE on‑campus drive and was fortunate enough to receive an offer.
Round 1: Online Assessment
There was a 1.5 hr OA which had 3 coding questions - easy, medium and hard.
The hard question was a variant of Next Greater Element IV on LeetCode, except that the question was to find the kth next greater element to the right of each element in the array. The easy one was an array question and the second was a priority queue question.
I solved all three in about 45 minutes because mainly there were only 15 test cases and no internal testing, so suboptimal codes were working to pass them.
Then the interview was in person and about 37 were shortlisted.
The interview had 2 technical rounds and one HR round.
Round 2: Technical Interview 1
The first round was completely DSA and coding round.
I was asked https://www.greatfrontend.com/questions/algo/linked-list-rearrange first. I was really tensed up in the beginning. But the interviewer was very kind and helpful.
Then after a thought for about 5 minutes and also telling one wrong approach, I could finally figure out the solution. I explained the solution clearly on paper. The interviewer agreed.
Then he asked me another linked list question but this was very standard and I had already done it. It was https://leetcode.com/problems/intersection-of-two-linked-lists/. I first clearly thought about the solution and was able to explain it quickly on paper.
Then I was asked to code https://www.greatfrontend.com/questions/algo/linked-list-rearrange from scratch on an IDE and to make sure I code using standard OOPS principles. I was able to code in about 15 minutes but finding those small bugs took a lot of time. Debugging itself took about 10 minutes, the interviewer was kind enough to wait. Then I was able to complete the code and it was running correctly.
Then I was given a Java LLD code which I had to debug. There was a small bug in the code which I was able to find in about 5 minutes.
Then the first round was over and it took about 50 minutes.
Then about 30% were moved to round 2.
Round 3: Technical Interview 2
Round 2 was mainly about projects, system design and core subjects.
I was asked to explain one of my projects end to end and was also asked an LLD implementation of the project. This took for about 30 minutes.
After that, I was given a database design problem where I had to design an Institute Attendance Management System. Once the database design was done, the interviewer asked several HLD/System Design questions based on the same system.
Again the interviewer was extremely supportive and gave me enough time to think whenever I got stuck and guided to the right path.
Then I was asked questions on OS, CN and OOPS and with that round 2 was done in about an hour.
Round 4: HR
Then I was called for a final round. The final round was mainly focused on behavioral questions, communication, and general HR discussions.
The whole interview had pretty much covered all the topics required for an SDE 1.
Overall I had an amazing interview experience. And Im extremely grateful that I got the offer. And Im so excited to spend the rest of my college time completely carefree.
Happy leetcoding and thank you folks!
Interview Questions (3)
Linked List Rearrange
Intersection of Two Linked Lists
Given the heads of two singly linked lists, return the node at which the two lists intersect.
Kth Next Greater Element to the Right
For each element in an array, find the kth next greater element to its right. This is a variant of the Next Greater Element IV problem.
