Summary

I interviewed for an Amazon SDE position, passing the OA and moving to loop interviews. I faced a DSA problem similar to 'Find Minimum Time to Finish All Jobs' and a System Design question on designing an Order Management System. The System Design round was challenging for me, leading to the cancellation of further rounds, though I was later contacted by another Amazon team.

Full Experience

Recently I got the opportuninty to interview for Amazon SDE Position

1st was OA with 1 leet code medium and 1 leet code hard , along with some system design question and behavoiural

was able solve both the questions , and then was reached out for further Loop Interviews

1st Round DSA :-
https://leetcode.com/problems/find-minimum-time-to-finish-all-jobs/description/

similar to above question but rather than choosing tasks in subseqeunce i had to use in subarray

struggled a bit but was able to solve it at last minute , i don't think he was satisfied with the speed he wanted to ask some more follow up questions but we were above time as he mentioned

2nd Round System Design (HLD)

Design a Order Management System

Round was a disaster for me as i have never interviewed for a HLD round and this was my first which got into my nerves , i would suggest to practise and do multiple mock before this round , As i had good knowledge of Systems , tools , processes which was acknowledge by interviewer as well , but articulating flow is the area which i lacked

Luckily the Position went into hold and further 2 interviews were cancelled , and next day i got call from other team in amazon to interview for other role , hopefully this time i will take learning from previous and improve

Interview Questions (2)

1.

Find Minimum Time to Finish All Jobs (Modified)

Data Structures & Algorithms·Hard

I was given a problem similar to LeetCode's 'Find Minimum Time to Finish All Jobs'. The modification was that instead of choosing tasks in subsequence, I had to use them in a subarray.

2.

Design an Order Management System

System Design

I was asked to design an Order Management System (High-Level Design).
