Section 1a: DSA Question
Title: Make Power Non-decreasing
Problem
AWS provides scalable systems. A set of n servers are used for horizontally scaling an application.
The goal is to have the computational power of the servers in non-decreasing order. To do this, you can increase the computational power of each server in any contiguous segment by x. Choose values of x such that after the computational powers are in non-decreasing order, the sum of all x values used is minimized.
Example
power = [3, 4, 1, 6, 2]
return = 7
Add 3 units to the subarray (2, 4) (0-indexed or 1-indexed - placeholder) and 4 units to the subarray (4, 4).
Final arrangement: [3, 4, 4, 9, 9]
Answer: 3 + 4 = 7
passed 15/15 testcases
Section 1b: AI assisted Repo Debugging
Repo: A ticketing/support-desk style app where users can open a ticket describing a bug, and multiple people can reply to that ticket (like a comment thread).
Bugs to fix (6 test cases total):
- Creating a new ticket wasn't working (new tickets weren't being added)
- Once a ticket was created, users couldn't reply to it
tech stack used - Django passed 2/6 test cases
Verdict
Shortlisted for technical interviews
