Summary
I attended an Amazon SDE 1 first-round interview where I was asked to solve LeetCode 834 (Sum of Distances in Tree) and behavioral questions based on Amazon Leadership Principles. I couldn't complete the coding problem due to lack of practice but found the interviewer helpful.
Full Experience
I have attended an amazon first round interview where i asked to solve a question related to trees.
As i joined the interview i have a breif discussion about eachother and the process of the interview where he told me i would have to solve dsa problem in first 45 mins and then he will ask about amazon leadership principles.
The question he asked was to solve Leetcode-834
Which i explained the approch and tried to code it but i haven't completed the code as i haven't practiced trees or graphs.
interviewer was very helpful and gave me hints and it was a great experince would have been great if i cleared this round but i'm sure i won't this time.
After that he asked me about the LP where i had to learn something very quicky and how did i do that.
I hope this is give you an idea how the amazon first round experience would be.
