Summary

I interviewed for a Data Engineer role at Amazon in September 2021 and was ultimately rejected. The technical video screen included behavioral questions, Big Data concepts, and a live coding round featuring a 0/1 knapsack problem and a SQL question.

Full Experience

I recently had an interview experience for a Data Engineer position at Amazon, which took place in September 2021. I currently have 3 years of experience working in a service-based company. The interview process for me began with a 1-hour technical video call screen. This round covered several areas: first, there were behavioral questions, followed by questions on Big Data basics and AWS. The technical challenge included a live coding session where I was given two problems: one was a dynamic programming question that revolved around the 0/1 knapsack problem, and the other was an SQL query. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I received a rejection notification after this screen.
