Software engineering salaries

I have received an SDE 3-level offer from Tide. I am looking for inputs on factors like work-life balance, brand value, tech culture, growth opportunities, and overall compensation potential. Base Salary: 60 LPA ESOPs: 50 LPA Total Compensation: 110 LPA Location: Remote

My role is Engineer, Backend 3 (Equivalent to SDE 3 as per recruiter). It's a product-based startup Fintech company. The position is Remote, but they have offices in India, so I am not sure about the future working mode. My target base compensation is 46 LPA, which includes 44.62 LPA Fixed and 1.38 LPA Variable (3% of Target Base). I will receive an additional 0.216 LPA (Rs 21,600 per year) as Employer PF. ESOPS are around 3.8 LPA (total 15 lakhs vested over 4 years). Benefits include: 5 lakh Health Insurance, 20K OPD, Life cover 2x of fixed, and 9000 INR for WFH setup. Work hours are flexible, generally standard IST time as per the recruiter. I am not sure about the manager and work-life balance, but I have heard the culture is good. Career and financial growth: Hikes are typically single-digit (4%-8%, 5% being average), and promotion chances are low for at least the next 1.5 years. There is a 6-month probation period.

I finished all the interview rounds and received the offer. I am a 5 Years of Experience backend heavy full stack engineer. The company is remote-first. Round 2 - Hiring Manager (European Guy) : Discussed my past experience, specifically distributed systems. Database concepts, optimization techniques like indexing, data structure behind it, how DB manages it. Also discussed distributed transactions. Overall it was a good and fun discussion. The recruiter confirmed the final result in 2 days. The whole process took almost 1 month from initial screening to the final offer letter. Though it had only 2 rounds, they were scheduled with 10-day gaps because of availability. The recruiter was friendly and responsive.
