Education: BE Mechanical(Tier 2/3) Prior Experience: Product Based Company (Omnissa) Date of Offer: December 2025 Employer PF: ~₹4,04,000 Variable/Performance Bonus: ₹0 (Roku pays all-cash, no variable component) Stocks (RSUs): ₹14,85,000 per year (Annualized) Joining Bonus: ₹0 Benefits: Standard Roku benefits (Free food, cab/transport, internet reimbursement, wellness allowance), great WLB and engineering culture. Interview Experience: I had 6 rounds focusing heavily on Distributed Systems, Cloud Architecture (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and DevOps/SRE principles. They looked for "Architect" level thinking even for a Senior role, with heavy emphasis on system design and incident management. Negotiation Strategy: This was a tough negotiation. They initially offered a standard hike. I realized Roku is "Cash Heavy, Equity Light," so instead of fighting for more stocks (which are capped), I pushed aggressively on the Fixed Base. I managed to get a ~87% hike on Fixed Base (from ₹45L → ₹84L), which is rare for 8 YOE but possible if I proved I could handle "Staff" level responsibilities. Verdict: Accepted! I am excited to join the streaming giant.

Work mode: 4 day office RSU can be vest in 3 months

I am currently holding an offer from Roku for a Senior Software Engineer role. My offer details are: Base: 85 lacs 72k USD stocks vested over 2 years (quarterly) PF: 4.08 lacs My TC stays flat year on year at 1.2 CR.

This offer is very different in both the companies on different aspects. Also there is no formal appraisal process in Roku. They do market correction as opposed to appraisal. My biggest regret is picking my current company over MS while intervieweing I had an offer of L63 then also and would\'ve easily gottent promoted by now. But I focused on base back then
