Software engineering salaries

I interviewed for the SDE Intern role in Pune. The stipend offered was 35,000 INR per month, which calculates to 4.2 LPA. The interview process consisted of a single Technical Interview lasting 1 hour. In the technical interview, I was asked two problems: Q1: Maximum Performance of a Team. I used a min-heap and sorted employees by efficiency (descending) with an O(n log n) time complexity approach. Q2: Longest Increasing Subsequence (LIS). A week later, I received an offer from Mindtickle, but I politely declined it as I had secured an offer from BrowserStack which I felt had a better work culture and reputation.

After PPO :  Salary: 17,50,000 (Base)  Relocation/Signing Bonus: 1,00,000(Joining Bonus) + 35,000 (relocation Bonus)  Stock bonus: 7,00,000 vested in 4 years  Retention Bonus: 7,00,000 (bonus for the first year 2,80,000, and for the second year 4,20,000)  Total comp (Salary + Bonus + Stock): 17.5 + 1 + 2.8 + 1.75 = 23.05 lpa ( excluding performance bonus ) for the 1st year  Total comp (Salary + Bonus + Stocks for 4 years) = 32.5 lakh ( excluding performance bonus )  Benefits: Medical insurance for parents, spouse, and children (Cover of 8 Lakhs)

Compensation - 25L base + 1L JB (1 year clawback) + 10% retention bonus (2.5L) + 1000 units esops (vesting over 4 years 25% each with 1 year cliff)
