Performance Bonus: 0-20% (average 10%, which is 3.1 LPA). Joining Bonus: 6 LPA for the first year, 3 LPA for the second year. Total Compensation for the first year: 58 LPA. Total Compensation for the second year: 55 LPA. The team offered is Azure SQL. The recruiter mentioned that joining before March 31 will ensure consideration in this year's appraisal cycle, potentially leading to an increase in base salary and stocks.

My offer details from Microsoft L61 include: My base salary is 29 LPA. I will receive $55k in RSUs distributed over 4 years (approximately 11.41 LPA annually, assuming 1 USD = 83 INR). A yearly bonus of approximately 10% of my fixed salary (2.9 LPA) is included. A relocation bonus is provided. There is no joining bonus.

Typical Microsoft benefits such as relocation and cab service are also included. The recruiter stated there is no room for negotiation on the initial offer but is checking for a joining bonus. I have 2 days to sign off this initial offer, and my interview performance was upper band level.

The offer includes a base salary of 25 LPA and stock worth $48k USD vested over 4 years (approximately 9.96 LPA). The total compensation is approximately 34.96 LPA. The job location is Bangalore or Hyderabad. I attempted to negotiate the base to 29-32 LPA due to relocation from a low-cost location. HR mentioned they cannot bump the level due to YOE constraints and cannot go further based on my current base. I am considering factors such as relocation costs, higher living expenses, higher tax slab, and a lateral move (SDE2 → SDE2). I am unsure whether this offer makes sense financially and career-wise at this stage.
