Dear LeetCode Community, I hope this post finds you well. I recently had the privilege of interviewing for a Software Engineering Intern position at Microsoft, and I wanted to share my experience and offer some insights for those who may be preparing for similar interviews. **Interview Process Overview:** * Resume Shortlisting: The journey began with the resume shortlisting phase, where my qualifications were evaluated to proceed to the next stage. * Coding Round (Online Assessment on Codility): The second stage involved an online coding assessment on Codility, testing my coding skills and problem-solving abilities. * Technical Interviews (Rounds 3 and 4): The final rounds consisted of two technical interviews, each lasting around one hour and 1.5 hours, respectively. * **Round 1:** Duration: Approximately 1 hour Content: Array (LeetCode Medium) and Tree BFS Additional Topics: Java basics and variations in the Tree question * **Round 2:** Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours Content: 6-7 questions covering Trees, Trie, Stack (Hard), Array, and Kadane's Algorithm Difficulty: LeetCode Medium and Hard **Verdict:** Received my acceptance for the position of software engineer summer intern (8 weeks) and location is Hyderabad with a stipend of 1lac+ per month and a relocation bonus of 1lac. **Interviewer Interaction:** Both interviewers were friendly and supportive, creating a comfortable environment. They encouraged questions, clarifications, and provided hints when requested. **Tips and Tricks for Success:** 1. Keep your introduction concise and focused. 2. Seek clarification from the interviewer if any part of the question is unclear. 3. Don't hesitate to ask for hints if you find yourself stuck during problem-solving. 4. Take a minute or two to organize your thoughts before responding to a question. 5. If you're unsure about an answer, be honest and communicate that you don't know, rather than attempting to fabricate a response. 6. Avoid any attempts to cheat, as experienced interviewers can easily detect such behavior, leading to disqualification.
