The interviewer had prepared 2 coding questions, which I was able to solve within 35 minutes. He mentioned we had extra time, so he gave me a third question, but only asked me to explain the approach. While I was halfway through the approach, he said, “Okay, let’s move on to the Googliness and Leadership questions,” which I answered to the best of my ability.

I have 3 years of experience, with prior experience in a product-based company. My offer is from Google for an SDE2 / L3 role, located in Bangalore. My fixed salary component is 24 LPA. The total compensation for the first year is approximately 45 LPA, which includes a variable component of 3.6L (15%), a joining bonus of 2L, and stock units worth 44,500 USD (vesting 38%, 32%, 20%, 10%). I tried to get an L4 role but was unsuccessful. I applied via a referral. Other benefits include free food, cab pick and drop-off, and general Google benefits.

I accepted the offer from Google for an L4 position in October 2025. I have a B.Tech in CSE from IIT. My offer includes Retirals of ₹2.6 L (₹1.8 L EPF + ₹0.8 L Gratuity). I received a Stock Bonus of $78k, vesting 38%, 32%, 20%, 10% over four years. My Target Bonus is 15%, which is ₹5.85 L. I did not receive a Signing Bonus or a Relocation package. An interesting point during my interview was being asked system design problems by my skip manager, which I noted as unusual for Google.
