Summary
I share my TCS NQT exam and prime interview experience. The technical round included two coding questions: implementing a Doubly Linked List and printing a pattern, both of which I solved confidently.
Full Experience
I'm happy to share my journey with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) – from the NQT exam to the interview round!
TCS NQT Exam (15th March) I applied on 28th Feb, and the exam had two sections:
- Foundation – Aptitude, Verbal, and Reasoning
- Advanced – Advanced Quant & 2 Coding Questions
Foundation round went average. In the Advanced section:
- 1st coding question – 2 test cases passed
- 2nd coding question – Fully solved ✅
On 14th May, I received the batched status, and on 17th May, I got a mail from TCS to be shortlisted for Prime. After 1 month, on 19th June, my interview was scheduled.
Interview Round – Scheduled on 19th June It was a direct technical round. The interviewer asked only two questions:
- Implement a Doubly Linked List
- Print a Pattern (Pattern Printing)
I was able to solve both confidently and smoothly.
Grateful for the opportunity and the learning experience. Fingers crossed for the final result 🤞
Interview Questions (2)
The interviewer asked me to implement a Doubly Linked List from scratch.
The interviewer asked me to write code to print a specific pattern.
Preparation Tips
If you're preparing for TCS or similar drives – stay consistent, revise your basics, and practice coding regularly.
